Raising the bar: Radius Machining invested nearly one million euros to take complex part manufacturing to the next level! 🚀⚙️
We have excellent news! The year has started strong at Radius — we installed two brand-new, absolute top-class Swiss-type CNC machines in our production.
We have always believed that delivering the best value to our customers requires our machine park to stay one step ahead. Therefore, we invested approximately 900 000 euros to bring new Star Micronics machines into our facility:
🔹 Star SR-38B

Up to 10 axes with B-axis capability.

This machine significantly increases our production capacity both in machining hours and in processing larger diameters.
🔹 Star SX-38B

Up to 12 axes with B-axis capability.

We are duplicating our most advanced capability (we already operate one similar high-end machine) to ensure even greater delivery reliability and shorter lead times for our customers.
What does this mean for the customer? Once the final machine is installed and commissioned in February, we will operate a total of seven Swiss-type lathes covering diameters from 3 to 38 mm.
Thanks to the B-axis, we can perform angled drilling and milling simultaneously with turning. This means that even the most complex parts can be completed in a single setup. The result is micrometer-level precision, a lower scrap rate, and a more competitive unit price, as one machine replaces the work of several.
